The people of America are beginning to educate themselves
about the benefits derived from eating healthy foods. If that is you, congratulations. It takes effort to make health happen. If you haven't got on board yet, read on.
Statistics can be brutal, especially if one is resistant to
change. Four of the top ten killers in
America are foodborne diseases.
Heart Disease * Most Cancer * Stroke * Diabetes
Just like inhaling cigarette smoke, the wrong food, ingested
daily for years, can and does kill. The
numbers are staggering. In the U.S., about
1,400,000 people die a year, which translates into 3,385 people a day. Of course, the billion-dollar food industry
may argue the facts and try to confuse us with voodoo logic. I don't blame them. There is a lot of profit at stake. However, with enough reading in the right
places, the truth that remains resilient is available to you.
Food Kills
Why should you believe me?
Look it up for yourself. A good
resource I can point you to is Healing Cancer From Inside Out a documentary by
Mike Anderson. You can watch it on
YouTube (Click here) or go to the
Rave Diet website and order a DVD copy. (Click here)
Mike Anderson's father died of cancer and so began his quest for truth. (The Rave diet helped stop my wife's cancer.)
Moreover, why should you believe me when I say processed
foods are killing America? I wouldn't
take someone's word, especially someone I do not know, without question. Therefore, I am not going to tell you that
High Fructose Corn Syrup is sickening or Aspartame is lethal. I will not declare that preservatives
lengthen the shelf life of packaged food but shorten yours. Nope, I am not going to waste your time. Besides,
~ why should I care more about your health
than you?
It is easier than
ever to educate one's self. "Google
is your friend," my wife's in-home caregiver, Rocio, once told me. And she was right. You can search, read and research at your leisure to make up
your own mind.
In Google, or any search engine, type in Dangers of HFCS,
Aspartame, Preservatives or Food Additives.
Also, try YouTube and consider the possible consequences of your own
health. These substances are not
immediately lethal, but day after day, week, month and year after year they may
finally take their toll, and it is an expensive toll. Not only for you, but also for your family
who has to suffer along with you.
Do you want to risk being a burden to someone you love?
To make health happen it takes a lot of work. It can be inconvenient, laborious, even a
little daunting at first but so beneficial.
With a little knowledge and some commitment, you may avoid or reverse
the preventable diseases that plague, more than ever, unsuspecting people in
the United States.
What matters more: longevity or the quality of life?
Why not have both longevity and quality of life. That is what I am aiming for. How about you?
